This site is dedicated to fully documenting the Jabberd 2 server. Jabber is the set of standards that provides for an open instant messaging (IM) platform that offers a rich feature set, including encryption, asynchronous messaging, and connectivity with proprietary IM platforms. The Jabberd server is the original implementation of the Jabber protocols, which are now known as Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP). Jabberd 2 is the successor to the widely-used Jabberd 1.4 server.
